ČEZ City Cross Sprint Ostrava is a cross-country skiing race open for public same as as an exhibition for Czech and world ski stars. The event has been held at a unique location - UNESCO technical sight – Dolní oblast Vítkovice. At the location you can see blast furnaces, a well-preserved gasometer or the Bolt Tower.. This year, the race will take place at a 450 metres long circuit with artificial lighting built around the Gong Aula.
After a very successful 2018 issue, there is the sixth annual race ahead and the show is expected too be even better this time. The schedule is full of Czech sport stars as well as celebrities. You can even expect a biathlon exibition, air show by the Red Bull Air Race pilot Martin Šonka or a slackline performance by Gibbon Slacklines.
Entry and registration are FREE OF CHARGE.
The registration closes on Thursday, February 21 at 6pm. However it will also be possible to register at the venue on Saturday, February 23 at the Gong Aula. The Saturday registration closes at 1pm for both the LEO Express Sprint (the race starts at 1:35pm) and the ČEZ City Cross Sprint (the race starts at 3:20pm). The issue of numbers for the already registered participants will be open until 1pm as well.
